Job Purpose
The Store Manager is responsible for effective management of raw materials, packing materials, finished goods, spares, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted plant operations, statutory compliance, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, control, and maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, chemicals, packing materials, spares, and consumables.
• Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices, especially for materials having shelf life.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and report to management.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and resolve variances.
• Ensure proper receipt of materials against PO/GRN with quantity and quality checks.
• Coordinate with QC for inspection and approval of incoming materials.
• Ensure timely issue of materials to production as per approved requisitions.
• Maintain proper documentation such as GRN, issue slips, stock registers, MSDS, COA, and batch traceability.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and audit requirements (ISO / customer audits).
• Ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals as per MSDS guidelines.
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping practices in stores.
• Supervise, train, and manage store assistants and helpers.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QC, and Finance departments for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Graduate (B.Com / B.Sc / BBA preferred). Diploma or Degree in Materials Management is an advantage.
Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in stores/materials management in a manufacturing or chemical industry.
Technical Skills: Inventory control systems, ERP/Tally/Excel, MSDS knowledge, FIFO/FEFO practices.
